About George Johnson Education Centre

The George Johnson Education Centre is the first education provision offered by the Specialist Education Support Network in Lincolnshire.


The Centre is designed for KS4 students aged 14-16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion, struggling to cope with a mainstream environment and who may have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our Centre allows us to provide these young people with an inclusive, nurturing, educational environment where their needs are met, and they feel a sense of belonging.


At the George Johnson Education Centre we deliver a range of supported courses and approved qualifications to our students.


Supported GCSE Courses:

  • English Literature and Language
  • Mathematics
  • Combined Science
  • History, Geography and Religious Studies (Ethics)
  • Also supported subjects are ICT & PSHE

Approved Qualifications 

  • BTEC Level 1/2 First Award in Art and Design*
  • BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Award in Enterprise*
  • BTEC Level 1/2 Award in Home Cooking Skills
  • BTEC Level 1/2 First Award in Equine Studies (Coming Soon!)
  • NCFE Level 1/2 Technical Award in Food and Cookery*
  • NCFE Level 2 Award in Child Development and Care*
  • NCFE Level 1/2 Certificate in Health and Fitness*
